A look over the Bay to San Francisco from near Fort Point, by the Golden Gate bridge. San Francisco Bay is a large, nearly landlocked bay indenting western California, U.S. This drowned river valley parallels the coastline and is connected with the Pacific Ocean by a strait called the Golden Gate, which is spanned by the Golden Gate Bridge. The Bay is a shallow estuary surrounded by the San Francisco Bay Area (often simply "the Bay Area"); dominated by San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.

I've returned to my roots in Kansas after spending 45 years in Los Angeles. My passion for photography has always been an essential part of me, and I never leave home without my camera. I strive to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary, using clever juxtapositions, contradictions, bursts of color, and touches of whimsy.
