Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Santa Clarita, California hosts a carnival every year in September for the city. Once the event was over and the visitors had left, I was there to see the carney workers dismantling the rides. Although the lights were still on, I found myself alone on the midway, with a feeling that the carnival life is never-ending, and it will move on to the next town.

I've returned to my roots in Kansas after spending 45 years in Los Angeles. My passion for photography has always been an essential part of me, and I never leave home without my camera. I strive to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary, using clever juxtapositions, contradictions, bursts of color, and touches of whimsy. My photography is a true expression of how I perceive the world, staying authentic and genuine to myself.
