Description
Eddie's Service station, built in 1928, still stands as it was constructed. The date of its establishment is inscribed on the concrete in the service island. Piru, a small town in California, is a popular filming location for small-town settings, and Eddie's service station is often chosen for this purpose.
Piru, after its founding by David C Cook, a successful publisher of religious books and materials from Elgin, Illinois, became known as a thriving hub for horticulture. Mr. Cook had come to Piru to establish a community that would replicate the fruits of the Holy Land in Biblical times in its groves and orchards of fruit trees. Piru City was often referred to as the "Second Garden of Eden."
