This incredible thoroughbred was getting hosed down following a race along a side exit of Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia California, just outside Los Angeles. Passing by on my way out, after having a marvelous day at the races, I asked the trainer if I could photograph him. With permission, I started to focus, when the trainer pointed the hose at his face and he broke out in the biggest grin! I think he was as happy as I was that I wanted to get a picture. This was the last of the images posted on FAA that I captured of his changing expression.
