Riverside Park is a historic park in Independence, Kansas. It was founded in 1914 and designed by renowned landscape architect George Kessler. The park includes a playground, baseball stadium, bandstand, and tennis courts. The Ralph Mitchell Zoo is home to lions, tigers, bears, and Monkey Island, famous for being the birthplace of Miss Able. Other attractions include a carousel, miniature train, steam locomotive, and a Corythosaurus. Several structures were built during the Great Depression.
In 2015, this panorama of the park was taken on Independence Day.
