Description
In Hinduism, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, who has eight emanations known as Ashtalakshmi. These emanations are represented by two entwined squares forming an octagram. Each of the eight emanations represents a different form of wealth, which includes monetary wealth, the ability to transport, endless prosperity, victory, patience, good health and nourishment, knowledge, and family.
This version is on the exterior ceiling near the world-famous Pantages Theater box office in Hollywood, California.

Thanks for submitting your image to ART IN ARCHITECTURE group. A very nice image and I like your narrative and explanation of the octagon shape. It is a beautiful ceiling fixture.
