Artist's Description

This full size 1050 steam locomotive was added to Riverside Park, Independence Kansas in 1955. Kids have always climbed all over it, pretending to be piloting a train on a great adventure. Renowned landscape architect, George Kessler designed the park to work in harmony with the natural surroundings. It is still the greatest park today, with the best free zoo in the country!
