Description
The Frolic Room, situated next to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, among other things was the scene of many private parties hosted by the theater's owner, Howard Hughes in the 30s and 40s. However, on the other side of the glitz and glamour is a dark and twisted story. On January 15th, 1947 Elizabeth Short's body was found in the Leimert Park neighborhood gruesomely mangled, disfigured and cut in half. Elizabeth has become known as the Black Dahlia and the Frolic Room was alleged to have been the last place she was seen alive.
