The Coquille River Lighthouse is situated in the Bullards Beach State Park, just north of Bandon, Oregon, where the Coquille River meets the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the eleven lighthouses in Oregon. The Coquille River Lighthouse was operational from 1895 to 1939 when the economy of Bandon slumped, resulting in reduced shipping demands that rendered the lighthouse useless. The town residents have now restored the structure, but they are still debating over the color scheme, with the older generation insisting that it should be white.
I've returned to my roots in Kansas after spending 45 years in Los Angeles. My passion for photography has always been an essential part of me, and I never leave home without my camera.
