Artist's Description

A grain elevator is a tower used in the grain trade industry. It contains a bucket elevator or a pneumatic conveyor that picks up grain from a lower level and deposits it in a silo or other storage facility. This particular grain elevator, located next to abandoned railroad tracks in Independence, Kansas, has been forgotten by time. However, it still stands proudly as a symbol of its rich heritage.
